Challenge #5 – start a gratitude journal
It’s so easy to get caught up in the day-to-day that we don’t stop and think about all the wonderful things we have to be thankful for - no matter how small they are. We love the idea of taking some time out, even if it’s only five minutes, to jot down a few things to be grateful for. Noting the things that bring us joy can be really uplifting.
Tips for starting a gratitude journal you’ll keep
We all start things like this with the best of intentions, but how to keep them up? Here are our tips:
- Buy a beautiful journal you won’t be able to resist writing in
- Think about the benefits that writing a gratitude journal can bring - it can lower stress levels, bring a sense of calm, and focus you on all things positive
- Schedule time in your day to write - it should be any time that fits around your lifestyle
- Gather some gratitude prompts to get you started
