Photographer Megan Sorel captured this delectable shoot for stylist Kelly Oshiro’s The Principles of Styling workshop. This contemporary editorial shoot is is full of romantic, slightly tropical florals by Lavenders Flowers as well as perfect ideas for designing a modern California wedding. And what better venue than the Santa Barbara Historical Museum to showcase all the goodies? Let’s take a closer look at the stunning details from the styling workshop.
Inspired by the colors of the late 60s and early 70s, this contemporary wedding editorial was all about color. Eggplants, orange-y reds and deep cranberries came together for a unique, tropical vibe that is perfect for summertime weddings.
This table combines so many elements into one colorful, gorgeous look. The bare, wooden picnic table adds rustic charm for a casual, understated aesthetic while the florals and fruit bring the overall look and feel to life. A mix of towering taper candles in white and a few shorter, thin tapers in burgundy enhance the look by adding subtle elegance.
