A Poolside Fourth Of July Party

A Poolside Fourth Of July Party

It’s finally the Fourth of July! Cheers to fireworks, a long weekend and everything red white and blue! Whether you’re celebrating at the lake, beach or the comfort of your own backyard, we have all the inspiration you need to channel a patriotic, fun and timeless look with your Fourth of July decor.

Red, white and blue is the obvious color scheme for America’s birthday, but don’t feel limited to just one shade of those colors. We used our ivory pillars and tealights in lieu of traditional white to create a soft, more rustic charm. Lanterns have become an increasingly popular lighting choice for weddings in 2017, but we love them for any outdoor tablescape including this coffee table.

Get creative with your table settings! These colorful plates, glasses, and linen napkins from Pryde’s Old Westport are unique and patriotic while maintaining a classic and formal look. A simple floral arrangement, styled by Hen House Market’s floral department, featuring red garden roses, greenery and complementary white and blue flowers was a perfect centerpiece. Surrounded by red ball candles and red and navy tapers, this table is fun and festive.

And now for the best part of every meal: dessert! These red velvet bundtinis were not only delicious, but their bright crimson color doubled as patriotic decor! We added Royal Blue, Red and Roman Bronze 6” celebration candles to honor and celebrate our country’s independence.

How do you plan to decorate for the Fourth? Tell us in the comments or share your patriotic looks with us on social media by tagging @Creative.Candles on Instagram and Creative Candles on Facebook!

Three Ways to Update Your Patio for Summer Outdoor Entertaining

Three Ways to Update Your Patio for Summer Outdoor Entertaining

You might be ready for summer, but is your patio? Porches, patios, decks and sunrooms are among the best places in your home to spend time in the warmer months. You can also make it your favorite space to entertain guests for summer soireés, barbeques and other get-togethers with just a few upgrades.

One of the top trends for summer 2017 is creating a seamless transition from your home to your outdoor space by borrowing décor from the interior. This means ditching the standard wrought iron patio tables and chairs and furnishing the space with more upscale pieces that look like they were created for the indoors. The patio has truly become an extension of your indoor space, so add some pillar candles to set the mood.

When it comes to outdoor decorating, you can never go wrong with a nautical color scheme. A mix of blues, red and white are not only perfect for patriotic summer holidays such as Memorial Day and the Fourth of July, they also provide a classic look year-round. So even if you’re landlocked, you can bring in the look and feel of a beach home with coastal style, especially with our ball and votive candles.

Perhaps you’re craving to overhaul your space altogether. Designer Laurie Blumenfeld-Russo and her husband, Bob Russo, once pondered buying a weekend place in Connecticut, but instead, they decided to turn the roof of their Brooklyn brownstone into an entertaining oasis. Complete with a restaurant-worthy kitchen, lush greenery, a skyline view of downtown Manhattan and an abundance of seating for entertaining guests, the couple was thrilled with their new gorgeous rooftop patio. As seen on House Beautiful, the dining area features our pillar candles in varying sizes.

Fresh New Ways to Get Ready for Spring

Find out how we merged our on-trend candle colors with fresh, minimal design.

Jackets are off and the sandals are on - it’s time to make your living space springtime ready. See how these on-trend colors, textures and tones get us excited for spring!

Give your mantle a facelift! Here, we used Creative Candles’ Cornflower tapers to accent our blue Nate Berkus chambray pillow.

If it’s green and white – we’re ALL in. Here, we paired Creative Candles’ Desert Olive tapers with a darker toned Eucalyptus taper to add that extra pop of color.

Each season we always swap out the colors on our mantle AND dining table.

Here, we color blocked the tones one would find in a fresh spring picnic basket and went to town. Desert Olive, Honeysuckle, Natural Beeswax and Café au Lait pillars, tapers and votives gave us just the right amount of fresh and fun.
