Autumn is known as a season of change and we’re about to witness a change in both weather and scenery. Although we love the bright hues and lush greenery of the summer months, we can’t wait for the muted greens and rich jewel tones that fall brings each year. Today, we're featuring this gorgeous fall wedding inspiration complete with an incredible tablescape that brides everywhere can draw inspiration from!
Photographer Alexandra Vonk said, "Once the leaves fall from the trees and autumn makes its appearance, we can often enjoy late summer days. The colors of the trees and the blooming Heathlands were the inspiration as well as the backdrop for this late-summer bridal shoot, 'Falling in Love' that took place in the south of the Netherlands.”
The brilliant colors of fall are clearly reflected in the styling and design. For the tablescape, the team chose a rural setting in the scenic countryside of the Heathlands. The rustic, farmhouse-style table was adorned with a variety of autumnal touches, including a stunning floral arrangement by Don Florito and simple details on the place settings. Hand-calligraphed stationary created with a beautiful watercolor technique and a gradient of fall colors creates a whimsical look and feel.
The prettiness continues with wooden cross-back chairs and silk table runners from Silk & Willow. Our thin taper candles paired with vintage brass candlesticks always make for a truly timeless look that conveys romance, charm and elegance.

When some of our favorite vendors team up for a styled shoot, truly gorgeous things happen. Take one look at this citrus blossom wedding shoot that took place at the Santa Barbara Historical Museum. Kelly Oshiro, Koman Photography and La Tavola Linen brought together the details for this editorial featured on Style Me Pretty.
Designer Kelly Oshiro said she was inspired by the annual citrus blossoms that take place every spring in Santa Barbara when she designed this lemon-centric shoot for Koman Photography. For the decor, she hand-picked fresh lemons on the branch with citrus blossoms which were then mixed into the floral designs on both the table and in the bouquet. We can only imagine how yummy-smelling this shoot was!
The lemon-themed invitation suite, designed by Susan Silverberg, paired gorgeously with citrine earrings from 33 Jewels. And what better way to incorporate the lemons into the theme than to create a tasty signature cocktail with locally sourced ingredients?
Kelly Oshiro said, “For the tabletop design, it was all about color and I picked La Tavola’s new velvet runners in “Golden” as the base for the table. Simple white and clear place settings from Pretty Vintage Rentals and my brass goblets made up the place settings. And for a unique place card idea, I placed the name card underneath the clear plate with some individual citrus leaves and individual lilac blooms. Lush floral arrangements in terracotta compotes featured citrus on the branch, nasturtium, orchids and parrot tulips. In between, I placed taper candles from Creative Candles in Cafe Au Lait and then scattered lemon in between.”
What a fun twist on an edible tabletop! Summer may be winding down, but we can definitely see the citrus taking off in 2018 for spring and early summer brides.
