Thanksgiving Centerpieces For Any Design Scheme Or Setting

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and if you’re like most Americans, you are probably already starting to make your shopping list and plan out your dinner courses to commence once Santa comes through Herald Square in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. While the dinner menu is supremely important, one thing you don’t want to overlook is the tablescape and centerpieces.

Until the turkey arrives on the table in its full golden glory, the tablescape is your feature while guests are enjoying a Cranberry & Rosemary “White Christmas” Sangria (one of our favorite cocktail recipes!). You want to make sure you have something with various depths and heights. You need something to keep eyes moving and keep lips moving when something new is noticed. We’ve compiled a few of our favorite centerpiece tips which can be enhanced with the inclusion of many of our Creative Candles products:

    Glass Encased Flowers

If you don’t have a ton of time on your hands for the centerpiece, a quick, simple and intriguing idea is placing individual flowers under drink and cocktail glasses. Take a bouquet of flowers and snip the blooms. Choose flowers of complimentary colors and sizes. Then choose a variety of glasses with differing heights and for different drink types. Flip the glasses over and encase the flower blooms underneath and top to bottoms of the glasses with a ball or votive candle in a shade to match your flowers.

    Make It Metallic

If you still have mini pumpkins and gourds leftover from Halloween festivities, you can easily transform them into something new for your tablescape. You’ll need packages of gold, silver and copper leaf, leaf adhesive and a crafty side to pull this table top off. Apply the metallic leaf to the pumpkins and gourds with the adhesive and let it dry. You’ll then have precious metal pieces for the middle of your table. Supplement the table with our metallic pillars and tapers to finish off the look.

    Cornucopia Cascade

There’s little more classic than a cornucopia on the middle of the table with seasonal fruits, vegetables, herbs and leaves cascading out of your horn of plenty. Plus, rubbing rosemary, sage and thyme between your fingers before you decorate your table will help your table be filled with the scents of Thanksgiving delights. Surround the cornucopia with a few of our 12” tapers from a pantry pack to make sure you will have a smokeless and dripless light to glow well into Thanksgiving evening when you start to decorate the tree.
