Votive Candles

Our votive candles are hand-poured in small batches from a proprietary wax blend, then flame finished in-house by local artisans. They burn slow, dripless, and smokeless in a votive cup, and their colors match our tapers and pillars, so a table or mantel reads as one palette.

About our votive candles

Our votives are small, unscented candles with a bell top that helps the wax melt evenly. They stand slightly taller than tealights, and because the wax liquefies completely as it burns, each one needs a votive cup. Our guide to votive and tealight candles explains how the two compare.

How our votives are made

Our artisans hand-pour each batch in-house from a proprietary wax blend and custom wicks, then flame finish every candle. That care gives each votive a slow, dripless, smokeless burn, and with no scent of their own they sit easily beside a meal.

Decorating with votives

Votives began as candles lit in prayer, and they have since found a place throughout the home. Combine different colors to create pools of warm light, or dot them around a room for single points of glow. On a holiday table they fill the low spaces between taper candles and pillar candles with candlelight.

Our votive colors

Eight colors come in boxes of eight or 36: Barely Blush, Black, Cafe au Lait, Crimson, Honeysuckle, Ivory, Paris Gray, and White. Custom colors are available by special order, with minimum quantities and lead times, so please contact us if your event calls for a particular shade.
